Hardware Foundation was established in 2019 by father-son combination of Kevin McNeill JP and Richie McNeill assisted by Keith Gillett.
Kevin worked for Try Youth and Community Services as CEO for over 30 years whilst his wife Rhondda worked for the Newsboys Foundation for over 25 years. Keith served on the Boards of both Try Youth and Newsboys and has a background in financial planning. Their wealth of knowledge and experience is of great value to The Hardware Foundation.
Richie McNeill is one of Australia's leading electronic music promoters who initially setup Hardware in 1991 and raised over $100,000 in aid of Try Youth and Community Services. For this he was made a Life Member.
Now 30 years later, Hardware Foundation has been established to give back to youth and homeless young people through raising funds via Hardware's access to mass audiences across Australia, through music.
The purposes of “Hardware Foundation” are:
1. To provide funding to disadvantaged young people so they may pursue their educational studies.
2. To provide clothing, rent assistance, food, shelter and personal support to people who are unemployed or have lost their home.
3. To make donations to charities who assist disadvantaged individuals and families through programs and direct assistance.
